For the Love of All Dogs

Sadly my Dad & Stepmom lost their Golden, Autumn. It's always a profoundly sad time when we lose a pet we so dearly love. On the day I learned that "Tummy" was sick I coincidentally found this quote on Darby's & Pumpkin's Daily and thought it clearly says what we feel about our four-legged members...

We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan. -- Irving Townsend

Do Corgis Exercise?

No, they don't. They just watch me exercise, real up close and personal like. It's a little funny and a little irritating all at the same time. When I'm being really good, like not during the holidays, I exercise everyday, this includes stretching. Jack being the loyal one, always comes upstairs to the loft with me and promptly lays down within inches of my feet. Joe being the adventurer, works his way up, and if he decides to stay downstairs, I know he's always within hearing distance because as soon as I lay down to do sit ups or some stretching, he can hear me and he runs upstairs, walks over me like I'm his human stepping stone and sits his corgi butt so that he's touching me. Can't a girl get some quiet time!?!

It's a Corgi Christmas

We like to snowshoe. The Corgis like to snowshoe. We have been waiting for the snow to dump here in the valley so we can just snowshoe out our front door...that's not likely anytime soon...so we drove up to Galena Creek and had ourselves a nice little snowshoe.
I believe this needs no explanation

Corgis in the Snow

Christmas rolled around and the Corgis enjoyed it with the rest of us, although they pretty much ignored the rest of us while in their rawhide bliss.
