Life is Crazy!

My life has been a bit crazy lately. We've moved (again) and are now just getting settled. I have most the pictures up and the furniture is pretty much set, my office is a bit of a mess, but it's getting there. I like the home we created. It's comfortable and the Corgis have a yard with grass. Woot! Woot! I can't say I've come down from the move yet so it's always nice to have my nephew Patrick on Tuesdays. He's a bright spot to an otherwise normal day. Look what fun we have (I HEART my iMac)!

Young and the Watchful Corgi

We had another great weekend camping at Lahontan. Although this wasn't the first time that my nephew Patrick has gone camping at Lahontan, it was the first time he really dug in and really seemed to enjoy it. When I finally uploaded the pictures from our trip and saw the picture below I knew that it would qualify for CrazyJoy=Young. Sitting in the sand, completely unaffected by the sand up your leg and your trusty Corgi watching your back=Young!

Orange and Other Things

I follow a blog called "Under the Sycamore" - it's an awesome blog. Her sister also has a blog called "Recipe for Crazy." She has CrazyJoy challenge words. I participated this weekend. The CrazyJoy word was Orange. When I decided to take the challenge I thought I'd never find anything orange, then I kind of forgot about it. Saturday evening I went to my Cousin's son's wedding and there on the table were ORANGE M&Ms in cute little heart boxes! My heart skipped a beat and when I had the chance I took the challenge...CrazyJoy=Orange.

I Like to Camp

I like camping. I always have. I particularly like camping at Lake Lahontan. I like to listen to the cottonwoods rustling in the breeze and the waves lapping at the beach. It's an interesting lake.

I found this description on Wikipedia, "Lake Lahontan was a large endorheic Pleistocene lake of modern northwestern Nevada that extended into northeastern California and southern Oregon. The area of the former lake is a large portion of the Great Basin that borders the Sacramento River watershed to the west."

Now it's a reservoir. It's brown. There's a Facebook dedicated to it "Keep Lahontan Brown." I think that is hilarious...keep lahontan brown...funny.

Some of my best childhood memories are from when my family camped there. When I pass, I want my ashes spread there.

I think the Corgis think it's special too.

Time Flies...

When you have a child everyone tells you how fast time flies. It always made me mad when someone would tell me that. I was a young Mom (21) and either I felt like they were taking away time I hadn't even had yet or I was rebelling against "older" people telling me yet another thing I didn't want to hear. That said...time flies.

A tree goes from Fall, to Winter, to Spring to Summer in one year and that one year flies.

A puppy that was once my baby Corgi is now my adult Corgi and that five years flies.

A girl that was once my baby daughter is now my adult daughter and that 18 years flies.

I'm stuck...

I haven't blogged in a L-O-N-G time. There are many reasons for this, some of which I don't want to re-live EVER again. Some of which is just summer. Some of which is not feeling inspired.

Although this blog is about the Corgis and their cuteness and crazy antics and how they fill up my life, I think maybe this subject may not be enough. I want to blog, and I want to share my Corgis but I want to share other snapshots of my life too. Why? I'm certainly not the most exciting person in the blogosphere but I like to write and I like to share, its...therapeutic.

My daughter turned me on to an app called "Instagram." She got her iPhone two or three months after I bought mine and she (of course) already knows more about it and all the fabulous apps out there than I. I have to say iHeart "Instagram!" I'm not sure if it's (a) the app's ability to change your pictures to different exposures, or (b) if I just feel more inspired to take photos I think might look cool, whatever it is I just think my pics are a lot more fun with this app! See what you think...

Corgis, Rocks and Flowers

The weather has recently turned quite beautiful. I so love walking the dogs on these warm mornings, AND it doesn't take me 10 minutes to get dressed, no long pants, no thermals, no gloves, earmuffs or hats...nope...shorts, top, shoes, ahhhh summer is finally here!
