I like camping. I always have. I particularly like camping at Lake Lahontan. I like to listen to the cottonwoods rustling in the breeze and the waves lapping at the beach. It's an interesting lake.
I found this description on Wikipedia, "Lake Lahontan was a large endorheic Pleistocene lake of modern northwestern Nevada that extended into northeastern California and southern Oregon. The area of the former lake is a large portion of the Great Basin that borders the Sacramento River watershed to the west."
Now it's a reservoir. It's brown. There's a Facebook dedicated to it "Keep Lahontan Brown." I think that is hilarious...keep lahontan brown...funny.
Some of my best childhood memories are from when my family camped there. When I pass, I want my ashes spread there.
I think the Corgis think it's special too.
