Spring Awakening

As I've said before spring in Northern Nevada leaves a bit to be desired, but even the howling winds and snow cannot deter the spring blossoms. I have to admit that this time of year I'm tired of the wind and the snow and I don't walk the Corgis as often but when I woke up this morning and looked outside the sun was peaking through the clouds, the sidewalks were wet with rain, the wind had died down, it was pretty as a picture AND actually seemed like a good morning to walk. I was proven right and thought I'd share some snapshots with you.

Jolly SUPing Corgi Brothers

We have found the coolest, most fun way to be on the water...stand up paddleboarding! We wanted to be able to be on the water here in the desert, do something physical and good for us, be able to participate as a couple and of course with the family Corgis. Although Perry and I have been a number of times through the winter, we didn't want to bring Jack & Joe until the weather warmed up a bit. We were blessed with a beautiful day this past Saturday so we grabbed the boards, the doggie life jackets and the Corgis of course and spent the morning paddling. They are naturals!

Finally we were able to split them up

Hang in there Joe!

A Spring Walk

Spring time in Northern Nevada generally elicits moans and groans from most locals. As typical for spring we're forecast to have 1 - 2 inches of snow on the valley floor tomorrow morning, but this spring morning it was absolutely warm and beautiful. A perfect morning for a spring walk.
