The Valley's Juxtaposition

I love living out in the Spanish Springs Valley. This valley lies just north of the Reno/Sparks area and encumbers both the City of Sparks and Washoe County. It's a hugely popular valley to live in here in the area. That said, even with its popularity Spanish Springs still holds quiet rural sections a world apart from all the traffic, houses and shopping.
While on our morning walks we walk between this beautiful open space that feels as if it goes for miles and miles just to the north of us and then directly to the south are neighborhoods just like these below.
The corgis get a little bit of both worlds, they walk on dirt roads and then right through crosswalks. Look Mom we're using the crosswalk! Don't worry readers, this road is closed to traffic.
We even get to enjoy a little bit of history. With the buzz of the commuting traffic on Pyramid Highway to the west, you'll walk right into this beautiful stone house which was once occupied by ranchers that were a part of Spanish Springs valley many years ago, this house was built in 1932.

Take a look at the Kiley Ranch website to learn about the history of the particular part of Spanish Springs that we live in.
